Home
I grew up in Ashaley Botwe with my mum and my four sisters. We lived in a wooden kiosk, and my mum traded baby goods at the market to keep us going. I always loved football, and I always dreamed of playing at the highest level.
The waiting years
In 2019, when I finished senior high school, I lost my dad. For three years there was no money for my education. I cleaned in the mornings, and in the evenings I played with any team I could find. The field was the only place I found peace.
The showcase
I nearly didn’t take it seriously. I’d been to so many tryouts where they said they’d call, and they never did. But there was a message about hope at the showcase, and I felt God’s presence. I was invited back, and the coaches saw something in me.
NC State
Today I’m a student-athlete at NC State, one of the best universities in the USA, without paying a penny. I picked up injuries when I arrived, but I prayed, and God brought me back. I can earn a degree and chase my dream of playing professionally.
G6:9 Foundation has lit up my dreams.
